Welcome to my community. I currently live in La Crosse, WI with my two children. I have a B.A. in Sociology and I am working towards a Masters in Divinity through Iliff School of Theology. I was a broadcaster in the U.S. Army and WI National Guard. I have been speaking out and doing advocacy work since 2012 when I discovered the power of my own voice. I enjoy speaking to groups of all sizes to raise awareness about disabilities, military sexual trauma and sexual assault, Post-Traumatic Stress, and accessibility and inclusiveness. I also breed crested geckos and enjoy building and maintaining bioactive enclosures.
My future lies in storytelling and narrative justice and trauma ministry. I love learning and helping others discover the power of their voice.
There are a lot of social justice issues in our communities, the country, and the world. Where do we go for information? How do we share what we know? How can we educate our kids, our family, and friends? This is what I hope this community will provide. A safe community where people can share their stories and experiences and where people who want to learn and know more can ask questions.
Thank you to my moderators, Scott and Kevin as well as all the people who have supported me on my journey and joined this community.
